I’ve Cirrus-ly Been itching to share the news that I’m about to reign over ya’ll right now! For a while now, an extremely talented friend and I have been working behind the seamz planning and organizing a collaboration that I think you guys are gunna love.
My first year at Irvine Valley College I had an English class with a girl named Laurel, AKA LoFi, and we instantly became desk homies. We never hung out outside of class, but we did exchange insta’s. As life moved on we would virtually encourage each other’s creative journeys. If my memory serves me correctly; I started manipulating the fabrics of my reality into the realm that is now Infinity Regalia, around the same time Laurel began pouring herself into painting up her dimension commonly known as “DRiPFi Designs”( u better go follow @dripfi). As we supported each other through creative puberty, we frequently chatted about doing a trade; but life kept delaying both of us from following through. That is until one night in 2020 I had a dream.
In the middle of an elaborately eventful vivid dream, I was making my way through a crowded bar and a girl sitting at one of the stools says “oooh… you’re cute!”, pulls me by the arm and sits me in her friends lap since the bar is too crowded for me to sit/stand anywhere else. As this girl is trying her absolute best to shoot her shot, all I can think is “I should probably be polite and introduce myself to this poor girl that didn’t ask to become my throne so that her friend could court me”. So as I’m repeatedly shouting “hi I’m Hayward” while awkwardly offering up a sad hand that nobody wants, I begin to notice the hair of the female turned furniture and thought “I love the purple and baby blue in this girls hair. It kinda reminds me of Laurel’s— WAIT!”. No longer in my head I yell “LAUREL!?!?!” (mind u, I have not seen this girl irl since our last day of class back in 2011). She finally looks up from her phone.
Her: HAYWARD!?!?!?
Me: (hysterically laughing) IM DEAD!!!
Her: WTF!?!?
Me: IM DEAD!!!
Her: WTF!?!?
We continue this cycle of excitement until it’s finally broken by my lil sister who is now fished using the bathroom and is ready to leave; and the dream continued its even further trek through looneyville
Even though me and Lo didn’t really know each other all that well and we hadn’t chatted in quite a bit, I obviously HAD to DM her saying how much I enjoyed her cameo in my midnight mind movie. That led to us finally committing to our long overdue trade. After blowing each other’s minds with our abilities, we both agreed that we would be doing the world a disservice if we didn’t join forces at least once. I had just finished the design for the hoodie/joggers that are on the site now, so it didn’t take long for us to stumble upon the idea of having her paintings uploaded and printed on fabric for me to make tracksuits out of. After finding fabric with print similar to Lo’s style, I made the sample above; further strengthening our confidence that this colab was in the cards. I was playing around with our brand names one day thinking of ways to blend them for our temporary merger and somehow “DRiPFiNITY REGALIA” just fell into place. I edited my logo to make the ruff draft below and sent it to Lo, and without question she agreed that it was a banger. ( honestly I think it sounds better than my original brand name)
Now that we’ve got a pretty solid business plan and locked in on a factory to get our fabric made (I’m literally crossing off a bucket list item rn by saying that), we are finally at the fun part! We get to create new worlds! And u get to watch it happen because we’ll be keeping you up to date with behind the SeamZ content and other possible goodies. Until then I’m gunna continue releasing new items so I can raise money to support this Lil dream me and a friend are trying to bring into the world cuz custom fabric ain’t cheap, but remember —
PLEASE DRiP RESPONSiBLY!!!
